Ransom attacks are taking place against some of the largest VoIP service providers using a DDoS tactic. So far we have heard of attacks against Bandwidth.com, Voip.ms, Ringcentral.com.
These attacks overload the service providers servers causing havoc with their customers phone calls. You can read more here.
